6 Trending Fashion Brands To Ring In 2023 In Style
Created 30/12/2022
After an amazing year in fashion, we’ve finally come down to the very last list of 2022. This round comprises a mashup of new and old names that are all making waves for different reasons, with the top name being Moon Boot (+80%) which gained over 3K new followers on Instagram last week. Founded in Italy in the early ‘70s, the brand’s retro designs have enjoyed a resurgence thanks to the power of TikTok. Celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa and Hailey Bieber are some of the A-listers who have relived the Y2K style moment. That’s not all. MoonBoot — the brand’s name without the space in the middle — also landed itself in the fourth spot with a 63% increase in search activity.
With the ski season underway, luxury footwear brand Inuikii also enjoyed a boost in search activity (+76%) for its super chic snow boots that take you from slope to street. A quick search on the label and you’ll notice an array of shopping and gifting guides featuring it as of late. Moving on, Athleta was also on the radar with a 72% increase in search activity thanks to its Winter semi-annual sale that started last week. From workout wear to athleisure favourites, its products have proven to be a favourite among the ladies out there. 50% of its top categories are made up of bottoms, and beige is its top colour in restock markets.
The iconic Paco Rabanne (+55%) made the list for several reasons this time. Firstly, it teamed up with online fashion marketplace Vestiaire Collective to source the best pre-loved pieces of its signature 1969 bag, from the Commes des Garçons edition to archival models. A timeless design crafted entirely from a seamless surface of metal discs, the 1969 bag is made to last forever. But aside from that, the boost can also be attributed to its red carpet sighting, whereby Zoe Saldana sported the brand’s Spring 2023 look at the Japan premiere of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’.
If Barefoot Dreams does not ring a bell, trust us when we say that it’s a label to know. It enjoyed a 54% increase in search activity following the sale of the products from its collaboration with Disney, which featured beanies, robes, socks, blankets and more. The blankets, in particular, have been a fan favourite, as Hailey Bieber and Khloé Kardashian have been spotted getting cosy in them. Unsurprisingly, women is its top gender group with 53.6%.
Last but not least, the year-end festivities are never complete without some sparkly jewellery, and Kendra Scott’s eponymous jewellery company – which had a 45% jump in search activity – is a brand to note. The founder recently did an interview with Elle Magazine that delved into her journey as an entrepreneur and designer. Having donated over $50 million to various charities since 2010, Scott said that “I look at our Give Back number as much as I look at my top-line revenue.”
